Parkeon Unveils New US Market Positions and
Expanded Offerings At The 2008 IPI Show
Parkeon recently exhibited at the 2008 IPI Show in
Dallas, TX with the purpose of introducing the US market to new services, as
well as reinforcing our message that we are a parking systems provider, not just
a meter company. IPI is the largest parking trade show in the US, with over 2000
attendees and 200 exhibitors.
IPI 2008 New Parkeon Booth
Among the new developments we
introduced were our new Pay-by-Space system, a shared cell phone transaction
database integration with Verrus in PbS deployment, and an application called
STAT Mapping (what Parkeon developed with Exyst as a partner) that uses
a Google map overlay to help operators compare meter performance parameters in
various sections of a city. We also presented the first American-made Strada
BNA, which was manufactured in Plano, TX by Flextronics.
Along with a brand new set of 8
sales brochures describing what Parkeon can do and the benefits of working with
Parkeon, we also unveiled a brand new 20’x20’ exhibit designed to reinforce our
new market position and message.
Key themes included our ability to
integrate with allied technologies (cell phones, handheld enforcement devices,
citation management software, in-street sensors), our new Pay by Space System,
our Pay & Display System, the “Made in the USA” idea, and our environmental
friendliness (stressing aspects beyond just our use of solar power
technology).
The booth also had a simulated
office environment in the back where we demonstrated ParkfolioNeo on two large
flat-screen monitors. An actual park was set-up with five meters (3 P&D and
2 PbS) so we could show various alarms, payments (including cell phone payment),
and PbS enforcement.
We also hosted a very successful
client event in the Rain Forest exhibit of the Dallas World
Aquarium.
The US marketing team is very
thankful to everyone who helped make IPI 2008 a success. We now turn our sights
to next year’s show, which will be held in Denver, CO!
