Parkeon References

With over 8,000 machines installed in the US, Parkeon is a world leader in Pay & Display Parking Terminals.  The first company to install over 1,000 units in a single city, Parkeon's Pay & Display Terminals can be found in many major cities throughout the US.

Globally, Parkeon has installed over 130,000 parking meters collectively managing over 3 million parking spaces. Major installations include Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Rome and London – to mention but a few.

Below are some of our most recent installations.

Seattle, Washington

In March 2004, the City of Seattle selected Parkeon to supply 1300 Stelio parking pay stations.  The city also has an option to purchase 300 additional units under the contract.  To date, 900 machines have been installed.  The units operate on solar power and accept coins, credit cards and smart cards as ameans of payment.  The city has opted for our on-line credit card method of authorization where the transaction is approved for payment at the point of purchase.

Denver, Colorado

In 2004, the City of Denver selceted Parkeon to install 77 Stelio Pay & Display Pay Stations for the upscale Cherry Creek North shopping district.  At the request of the City, all 77 units were installed in less than 1 week.  This area previously had no on-street paid parking.  The Stelio Pay Stations operate on solar power, accept coins, tokens and credit cards as a means of payment, and utilize a cellular modem for communications.  The units accept credit cards in an on-line mode.  The City also utilizes our Parkfolio™ communications service for reports, statistics, and collection and maintenance alerts.

New Orleans, Louisiana

In 2003 the City of New Orleans tendered an RFP for a professional services contract for the ownership, installation, operation, collections, and maintenance of all on street pay stations. Along with this RFP it was required to install all new pay and display meters replacing the single-space meters. The joint venture of Standard Parking and Parking Solutions won this tender and chose Parkeon as its pay station supplier. The initial award was for 400 units with an option for more pay stations as the on street deployment of pay and display expands. Meter installation began in the fall of 2004 with full deployment due in 2005.   The meter selected and deployed is the Stelio pay and display meter. These Stelio units are solar powered and accept coins and credit cards with an option to accept a New Orleans smart card in the future. The Stelio units are also outfitted with a cellular modem for communications. Credit cards  are accepted in an on line mode thus decreasing the risk of accepting  credit cards at a pay station for both the City as well as the operator. Standard Parking, Parking Solutions and the City of New Orleans have access to ParkFolio Communications Services that  offer near real-time reports, statistics and collection and maintenance alerts.

Chicago, Illinois

The City of Chicago has utilized Pay & Display meters onstreet for several years. As a result of their initial success they instituted a larger rollout beginning in 2004 with the installation of 100 Stelio Solar powered Pay & Display meters accepting coin and credit card (online) payment in the Central Business District referred to as the “Loop”. The Pay & Display units replaced single space meters as they are designed to allow parking during non-peak traffic hours thus maximizing the parking and traffic flow of their streets. The installation provides many benefits to the city and parking patrons alike.

Washington D.C.

Washington DC approached the concept of onstreet multispace parking a few years back via a trial of pay by space and pay & display technology. The result was a choice for Pay & Display to coincide with planned streetscape renovations for the Georgetown business district. Parkeon provided 100 Pay and Display Stelio solar powered meters accepting coin and credit card payment (online). The initial installation along “M Street” has recently been completed. Recognizing the full potential for the public's convenience, Stelio's installed onstreet at bus route stops are now selling bus tickets to expedite public transit.
