Whoosh! Parkeon’s mobile phone payment solution has launched
Convenience is always key to a successful parking program. Parkeon’s Whoosh mobile phone payment solution provides ultimate convenience to motorists which is why it has already been adopted by several cities in France – Cannes, Compiegne, Gravelines, Honfleur, Le Touquet, St. Emilion, and Saumur.
In the United Kingdom, Whoosh was launched in the Spring of 2013 and is now available at 32 sites around the country. Many of the Whoosh sites in the UK are operated by Warwickshire-based, Local Parking Security (LPS). Through LPS, Whoosh is available at several Premier Inns locations, which is the UK’s largest hotel brand. One of the key benefits LPS sees in Whoosh is the ability to enable the service within 24-hours notice.
Whooshers can pay for parking with their iPhones, Androids, or through the Whoosh website. They can receive a reminder message when their parking is expiring and add more time if they desire, without having to walk to their vehicle. This will lead to better parking compliance and make customers very happy because they can easily avoid frustrating parking fines.
Whoosh makes life easy for cities and parking operators as well since all transactions made through the Whoosh system are integrated into myParkfolio with all parking terminal transactions. And enforcement is simple because Parkeon clients are given a web interface that displays all Whoosh payments so you always know which vehicle is in violation.
