Until now, in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, parking tickets had been sold and inspected by dedicated people although this method was lacking speed and efficiency. To simplify and modernize parking management, the city has decided to install parking terminals.

Plovdiv, a smart and connected city

In order to supplement the installation of the first 3 Strada pay and display terminals and show its commitment to innovation, the city has also made a StradaPAL multi-service kiosk available to users. Besides paying for parking, this terminal, fitted with an alphanumeric keypad and colour screen, also makes it possible to distribute useful information in real time. The city has chosen to activate the City News service, connected to the Twitter account of the local authority, which provides access to all the latest news.

On-line car park management

To monitor the development of the new car park, the multi-service kiosks are connected to the Parkeon back-office, MyParkfolio. This option allows the city can to study a potential expansion of its available parking area.

The deployment of the StradaPAL, the most modern parking terminal currently available on the Bulgarian market, is the first stage of the next project of the city, which has the ambition of becoming the European Capital of Culture.
