PARKEON picks up the special “GENERAL PUBLIC” award at the Big Data innovation awards
On 11 March, during the Big Data Paris fair, the Big Data Innovation Awards were handed out. Parkeon picked up the special “General Public” award for its “Path to Park” mobile application.
Allocated by a panel of 10 experts, (industrial, institutional and journalists), the Innovation Awards aim to determine the most innovative and effective Big Data projects. From among fifty or so candidates, 5 projects received awards, including Parkeon for the special “General Public” award which rewards the best BtoC application project or best public utility project.
“We are very pleased to have been awarded this prize” stated Yves-Marie Pondaven, CTO at Parkeon. “Parkeon has been innovative in the parking solutions sector for more than 50 years and is still leading the way today. We are also very proud to have concluded this project with 3 French start-ups, which therefore contributes to the efficiency of expertise throughout France“.
“Path to Park” is currently available in the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux. The application will be launched shortly in Ile de France and in a dozen or so urban areas throughout the world.
